How It works
Scorpion devices are state-of-the-art vehicle tracking units that actively monitor for unauthorised movement. If unauthorised movement is detected, our 24/7 Secure Control Centre will discreetly contact you to verify what’s happening.
If it’s confirmed as a theft, we ask you to report it to the police and obtain a crime reference number. Once you’ve done this, we liaise directly with the police control room, providing speed, direction, ignition state, battery condition and location details to support recovery — accurate to within 10 metres, subject to environmental variables.
1. Vehicle Fitted with Tracker
Your vehicle is fitted with a ScorpionTrack or Datatool Tracking unit
2. GNSS Signal Sent to Satellites
The unit sends GNSS signal to GNSS, GPS, GLOANASS and Galileo Satellite Constellations
3. GNSS Signal Sent to GMS CELLULAR TOWER
The GNSS signal is sent to nearby GMS cellular towers
4. Data Transferred to Secure Cloud Server
The data received by the Satellites and Cellular towers are transferred to a secure cloud server.
5. Customers View this information
The Tracking data is presented and viewed through a secure internet connection on either ScorpionTrack or Datatool.
6. 24/7/365 Monitoring
Our monitoring centre contacts customers in the event of theft or unauthorised movement.
