June 2026 Recovery Statistics: £492K Recovered | Scorpion Automotive

At Scorpion Automotive, we recovered £492,800 worth of stolen vehicles and motorcycles during June – delivered by our Vehicle Recovery Specialists working alongside police forces across the UK.

June’s recoveries spanned motorcycles, scooters and quadbikes through to prestige cars and a commercial van covered by our fleet management solutions.

FASTEST RECOVERY OF THE MONTH: 10 MINUTES

June’s fastest recovery was a Ducati Streetfighter V4S, located and recovered in just 10 minutes. Our Vehicle Recovery Specialists operate *24/7/365, and real-time GPS tracking means that from the moment a theft is reported, we’re working to get your vehicle back.

MOST TARGETED VEHICLES AND MOTORCYCLES IN JUNE

This month’s recovery data covered a wide range of makes and models:

Honda and Yamaha topped the list as the most stolen brands, with BMW completing the top three across both two and four wheels. Honda models recovered included the WW125 scooter range, CRF1100 and Africa Twin, while Yamaha’s N-Max and MT125 scooters and the Tracer 900 GT also featured heavily.

Among cars and commercial vehicles, a BMW XM 50E worth £87,000 was the standout recovery of the month, alongside a Land Rover Defender worth £52,000 and a Renault Trafic van. Land Rover was the most frequently targeted car brand, with recoveries in both London and the West Midlands.

The data shows criminals continuing to target both high-volume commuter bikes and high-value prestige vehicles.

THEFTS SPLIT BETWEEN DAY AND NIGHT

58% of combined vehicle and motorcycle thefts in June took place during daylight hours, with the remaining 42% overnight. Car and van thefts skewed more heavily towards nighttime hours than motorcycle thefts – a reminder that thieves are not waiting for one particular time of day to strike.

WHERE THEFTS OCCURRED IN JUNE

June’s data confirms vehicle and motorcycle theft is a national issue, with recoveries recorded right across the UK.

Key theft areas in the North

Leicestershire was June’s top northern hotspot, with activity concentrated around Leicester. Lancashire, Greater Manchester, Nottinghamshire and South Yorkshire also featured, alongside further activity in Lincolnshire, Northumbria and Scotland.

Key theft areas in the South

London was the most active area across both datasets, across the Metropolitan area. Essex, Sussex and the West Midlands also featured, and a motorcycle was recovered in France after being taken across the Channel.

No matter where you are in the UK, vehicle theft can happen.

HOW WE LIAISE WITH THE POLICE

If your vehicle or motorcycle is stolen, your first step is to contact the police and obtain a Crime Reference Number (CRN). Once you pass this to our Vehicle Recovery Team, we work directly with the relevant force – sharing accurate tracking data and live location updates to support the fastest possible recovery.

Our specialists are trained to work with police forces nationwide, and we’re proud of the relationships we’ve built with forces across every region – with the Metropolitan Police Borough responding to the highest number of incidents this month.

2026 RUNNING TOTAL: OVER £4.2 MILLION RECOVERED

We’re now halfway through 2026, and Scorpion Automotive Group has recovered over £4,231,453 worth of vehicles and motorcycles across the UK so far this year. June’s contribution of £492,800 keeps that total climbing – proof of what a dedicated recovery team behind your tracker delivers, month after month.
