Across motorcycles, scooters, cars and vans, Scorpion Automotive Group’s Vehicle Recovery Specialists recovered £754,125 worth of stolen vehicles during August 2026 — our combined monthly total across Datatool and ScorpionTrack.
Working alongside police forces from Kent to Midlothian, our teams operated 24/7/365 throughout August — tracking, locating and recovering vehicles the moment customers reported them stolen. The Metropolitan Police responded to the highest number of cases across both brands.
FASTEST RECOVERY OF THE MONTH: 9 MINUTES
August’s fastest recovery across the Scorpion Automotive Group was completed in just 9 minutes. A stolen Yamaha N-Max 125, tracked by Datatool, was located and recovered in Kent within minutes of the theft being reported — with our recovery specialists providing real-time GPS coordinates to Kent Police throughout.
Nine minutes from theft to recovery. That’s the standard our teams work to achieve, around the clock, every day of the year.
FEATURED STOLEN VEHICLES — AUGUST 2026
August’s recovery data across both brands highlighted three vehicles that represent the breadth of what Scorpion Automotive Group protects — from urban commuter bikes to prestige SUVs.

The Honda ADV350 was the most stolen model recorded in Datatool’s August data. A compact adventure scooter with growing popularity, the ADV350 is increasingly appearing in motorcycle theft data across Surrey, London and the South East. If you ride one, August’s numbers are worth paying attention to.
Land Rover Discovery — ScorpionTrack
Land Rover was the most targeted make in ScorpionTrack’s August data, with the Discovery the most frequently stolen model. One Discovery was recovered in the Metropolitan area in just 32 minutes — August’s fastest ScorpionTrack recovery. The Discovery’s continued presence in theft data is a consistent 2026 trend.
Yamaha N-Max 125 — Datatool
The Yamaha N-Max 125 holds a notable place in August’s records: not only was it a top-three stolen model in Datatool’s data, it was also the subject of the fastest recovery across the entire Scorpion Automotive Group this month — recovered in 9 minutes by Kent Police.
47% OF VEHICLES STOLEN DURING THE DAY
Across Scorpion Automotive Group’s combined August data — covering both Datatool motorcycles and ScorpionTrack cars and vans — 47% of all thefts took place during the day (06:00–17:59), with 53% occurring during nighttime hours.
Neither window is safe. Thieves operate in car parks, on driveways and on public streets across all hours. The data is consistent with a year-round pattern: vehicle theft is a 24/7 threat, and protection needs to match it.
METROPOLITAN POLICE: MOST ACTIVE FORCE ACROSS BOTH BRANDS

North Yorkshire Police was the runner-up for Datatool recoveries, while West Midlands Police was the runner-up for ScorpionTrack — demonstrating the geographic spread of recovery activity across August.
